Development of a Perlin
Noise Generator is well under way.
The extension of the Artefact options away
from just the GDI is planned, with the
intention of allowing user-defined artefacts.
Software to spatially analyse an
original image is being developed with the
hope that textures with underlying features
can be generated. Examples are paper, cloth,
fur.

For me, texture
development has come a long way.
It began as a
project on an early IBM (green on green), before
3D was even contemplated.
Developing it, I
learned programming with various IDE's on many
systems. My programming skills have just about
kept up with my aspirations.
Development of
fast techniques and tight programming was forced
upon me at the beginning and has not left me
now, despite modern trends towards
bloatware.
